**Aberdeen appoints new property finance head**
UK - Aberdeen Celexa Property Investors (APCI) has appointed Debbie Smith as head of property finance for companies owned by APCI and its subsidiary, Aberdeen Property Asset Managers (APAM).
Smith, who will report to financial director, Andy Speedie, joins from Regalian Properties, where she was group financial controller. She has also worked for Grosvenor Estate Holdings, Langbourn Property Investments and UBS Phillips and Drew.
Elsewhere, APAM has recruited Paul Wylie as a fund manager and Sanjay Kapila as a property analyst. Before joining APAM, Wylie set up and ran a property management firm for an investment development company. Kapila joins from Knight Frank where he was a senior investment analyst.
**Gissings has new finance director**
UK – Consultancy firm, Gissings has appointed David Brooks as finance director.
Brooks is currently chief executive of European operations at Dura Automotive, where he will continue to work on a part-time basis until this June. Before joining Dura, he was a partner at KPMG for sixteen years.
**Henderson appoints new chief investment officer for global property**
UK – Henderson Global Investors (HGI) has promoted Dr Guy Morrell to the new position of chief investment officer, global property .
Morrell, who was previously in charge of HGI’s UK property team, will be responsible for developing the investment process as well as formulating strategies for clients investing on a cross-border basis.
**Martin Currie hires energy analyst**
UK – Independent Edinburgh-based investment management group, Martin Currie has recruited Wendy Anderson as a director, with responsibility for energy-sector stock selection across all Martin Currie’s accounts.
Anderson, who will report to chief investment officer, James Fairweather, previously worked as head of global equity energy research at Lehman Brothers.
