NETHERLANDS - Jan Straatman, the former director of asset management (CIO) at Achmea Global Investors has been appointed as chief investment officer for equities with ABP Investments in Amsterdam, the investment arm of the e150bn Dutch pension fund.
Straatman previously held various management positions at GIM General Asset Management, lastly as director of Research.
With the appointment of Straatman the last position has been filled after a change of the board structure of ABP Investments.
The board of ABP Investments now consists of dr. Jean Frijns,CEO; Ton Berendsen MBA, COO; Jelle Mensonides, CIO global real estate and alternative investments; Paul Spijkers, CIO global fixed income and Jan Straatman, CIO global equity.
Paul Spijkers remains chief executive officer of ABP Investments US in New York.
