NETHERLANDS – The Heerlen based e150bn ABP pension fund has elected Elco Brinkman to become the new chairman of the ABP Council from September 1.

Brinkman takes over the reins of the fund’s council from Bert de Vries who is retiring.
Brinkman will work in the one day a week position at ABP alongside his chairmanship role within the Dutch association for the building sector.

The ABP Council meets monthly to discuss and approve any decisions taken by the fund’s board of directors.
