NETHERLANDS – The €168bn,Dutch civil service scheme Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP has announced the composition of its board when Roderick Munsters takes over from Jean Frijns.
Munsters joins ABP as of March 1 from health care scheme PGGM as chief investment officer and board member. He takes over from Frijns, who will retire from the board as of July 1. Frijns will remain an advisor until January 1 2008. He will also advise PGGM.
After an introductory period Munsters will formally succeed Frijns as CIO and chairman of the board of ABP Investments as of April.
The board composition will be as follows:
- Munsters, CIO
- Ton Berendsen, chief operating officer
- Jan Straatman, CIO, capital markets
- Paul Spijkers, CIO, alternative investments
- Jelle Mensonides, president of ABP Investments US
ABP is planning a farewell symposium for Frijns on June 16 in Amsterdam.
Last month PGGM said Else Bos would take over from Munsters.
