UK – Dresdner RCM Global Investors (UK) Ltd. has been renamed Allianz Dresdner Asset Management (UK) Ltd. with immediate effect.
Dresdner was taken over by German insurer Allianz Group in March last year, and today’s rebranding reflects the full integration into the group’s asset management business, says Andreas Utermann, global chief investment officer for Allianz Dresdner Asset Management holding company, and chief executive of the newly branded UK firm.
PIMCO, Nicholas Applegate and Oppenheimer Capital are all asset management firms operating under the Allianz Dresdner Asset Management holding company, but will retain their names.
As of June 2002, Dresdner RCM Global had 32.8 billion pounds (50.23 billion euros) in assets under management. Allianz Group’s assets total 690.6 billion pounds (1.057 trillion euros).
