The Swedish municipality of Bollnäs has appointed Skandia owned Carlson Investment Management in Stockholm to run a SEK140m (e16.3m) international equity portfolio - replacing incumbents Alfred Berg Asset Management.
“Carlson was chosen because of its good track record,” comments Ulf Sundberg, head of finances at the Bollnäs municipality.
Remaining incumbent Öhman Investment Management has retained its portfolio of a further SEK140m (16.3m) and a SEK20m (e2.3m) environmental portfolio for the municipality.
Carlson already manages pension assets, worth more than SEK4bn (e465m), for 41 Swedish municipalities. Bollnäs was advised by Stockholm-based Wassum consultancy.
