SWEDEN - Andra AP-fonden, the roughly SEK190.6bn (€20.5bn) Second Swedish National Pension Fund (AP2) today appointed a new chief investment officer and chief investment strategist (updated).
Former equities chief Poul Winslöw has been named the the new CIO of the scheme with immediate effect, while former asset allocation head Tomas Franzén was announced chief investment strategist.
Both have also been appointed members of the fund's executive management.
Winslöw took over the day-to-day CIO responsibilities along with his role as equities head following the unexpected resignation of former CIO Petter Odhnoff in March.
Odhnoff quit amidst allegations of tax irregularities following an audit conducted by the Swedish tax authorities.
He handed in his resignation following discussions with then newly appointed AP2 chief executive Eva Halvarsson and the board of directors.
Winslöw, 40, first joined AP2 in 2003. He will also continue to head up equities, an AP2 spokesperson told IPE.
Winslöw will answer to Halvarsson, who was appointed in November 2005 as successor to Lars Idermark, who resigned in July 2005.
