SWEDEN – Swedish buffer pension fund Fjärde AP-Fonden (AP4) has selected Dutch consulting firm ORTEC’s Pearl performance attribution system.
AP4 “will measure and manage its investment performance using Pearl,” a press release said.
The decision was made as a result of a European tender procedure in which several vendors were evaluated. Financial terms were not disclosed.
AP4 joins Dutch civil service scheme ABP in choosing the system.
“Pearl will provide the Swedish pension fund with clear insight into the results of its investment policy and strategy,” ORTEC said.
It added that the Swedish fund “was looking for a supplier offering in-depth support and knowledge of performance measurement and overlay programs”.
ORTEC sales manager Mark Lamers sees growing worldwide need for automated solutions for fixed income attribution. “The selection of PEARL by ABP Investments in December 2005 is another confirmation of this. We also see an increasing interest for PEARL from asset managers.”
