UK - Martin Hall, co-head of fixed income at Fidelity International, has been appointed as the new head of AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) in the UK.
Hall will join the London-based company from June, a spokeswoman told IPE. He replaces Paul Griffith, who left AXA on March 12 to join Credit Suisse Asset Management.
AXA IM's chief executive Dominique Carrel-Billiard said in a statement that the UK market is a strategic priority for AXA IM, and Hall's appointment would be a "strong addition" to the company's management team.
Fidelity International is currently looking to recruit somebody to replace co-Head of Fixed Income. In the mean time, Michael Gordon, Fidelity's chief investment officer, will take over Hall's responsibilities.
Prior to working at Fidelity, Hall was head of institutional sales and marketing at Morley Fund Management and chief investment officer, fixed income for Norwich Union Investment Management.
