UK – Benjie Fraser, head of the Bank of New York’s UK pensions business, has joined JP Morgan.

A BoNY spokesman confirmed that Fraser, well known in the City for his poetry readings, is to join the rival bank. A JP Morgan spokeswoman declined to comment, citing HR policy.

The departure follows the appointment of Robert Darmanin as head of European custody and pensions in November.

Darmanin took over from Richard Beaven and transferred from the bank’s New York-based investment management division where he headed corporate finance activities, business development and relationship management.

Fraser joined the Bank of New York from State Street, the spokesman said.
