UK - The £773m (€1.1bn) Bedfordshire Pension Fund is seeking a passive (index-tracking) investment manager for £100m in UK equities.
Bedfordshire County Council is being assisted in the tender by consulting firm Watson Wyatt, according to the tender document.
"The assets to be managed (UK equities) are valued at approximately £100m, with an option to extend to other asset classes in future," the tender states.
According to the fund's most recent report and accounts, Barclays Global Investors runs a passive multi-asset brief for the fund.
Other managers included Bank of Ireland Asset Management (active overseas equities), Henderson Global Investors (active UK equities), Deutsche Asset Management (active global fixed interest) and ING Real Estate Investment Management (indirect property).
The Council will award the brief to "the most economically advantageous tender" in terms criteria including capability, commercial, experience and understanding.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is November 11.
In July the fund tendered a new £100m global equities brief.
