BELGIUM – Marc Speeckaert, general manager of pension funds at Belgacom, is to join listed Belgian investment group Sofina as managing director.
Speeckaert confirmed the move, while an official at Sofina said he would be joining on Monday.
He is the latest to leave the Belgacom pension fund following its transfer to the Belgian state as part of the parent company’s initial public offering. Earlier this month it emerged that portfolio manager Greet Grauls was to join the Pensioenfonds Metaal scheme.
Brussels-based Sofina, headed by president Yves Boël, had 2.1 billion euros in assets according to its 2002 annual report.
