GLOBAL - BNP Paribas has appointed Scott Dickinson as global relationship manager in London covering the institutional investor and financial intermediaries client segment, focusing on alternative assets.
"It is a reflection of what is happening in the market at the moment. Traditional institutional asset managers are increasingly turning to alternative asset classes," Dickinson told IPE.
In bringing together the two client segments BNP Paribas hopes to achieve synergies and help to improve client focus.
"The challenge that the industry is facing is to adapt to an increasingly complex investment market. We have to make sure that our delivery can match expectations with developments in terms of new fund types, etc. accelerating," Dickinson added.
He joined the firm in September 2004 as senior global relationship manager for institutions. Before that he worked at Rabobank and Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust.
