BELGIUM - The Bank of New York has appointed Axel Dewitte as head of corporate actions at its Brussels office.
The specialist in securities platforms joins from Fortis to further strengthen BoNY's presence in the Benelux region.
Earlier this month the bank transferred Tom Casteleyn from London to Brussels as head of Benelux client management.
Dewitte previously worked at JPMorgan and BNP Paribas in Paris where he developed a global custody operations centre and implemented a pan-European platform to service central Europe based institutional clients. At Fortis he participated in the implementation of a Benelux securities platform.
He will report to Paul Bodart, executive vice-president and head of BoNY's Brussels office.
Elsewhere, Lane Clark & Peacock appointed David Bush as new partner in its London actuarial team. He will assist corporate clients with advice on managing pensions risk, merger activities and benefit design, among other areas.
He joins from Hewitt where he was a principal consultant in a similar area.
