FRANCE - Credit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM) has promoted current head of client servicing Philippe Zaouati to head of marketing.
He replaces Christophe Lemarié, named this week as the fund manager’s new head of equity investment, asset allocation and arbitrage.
The 40-year-old Zaouati’s experience has largely been in marketing and client liaison. CAAM appointed him head of product marketing and tenders in 2002 after a one-year stint as head of product marketing for institutional and international clients. In 2000 he became CEO of Luxembourg’s CA Funds Investment Services – later CAAM Luxembourg.
His is CAAM’s fourth appointment in as many days. Earlier this week the firm appointed Marco Piersimoni head of strategy after three years as strategy head for Italy. Patrick de Fraguier, head of CAAM’s global balanced management team, became deputy head of strategy for the group.
