NETHERLANDS – The 800 million-euro pension fund of Dutch dairy conglomerate Campina has appointed Henk Vis as director.

Vis succeeds Rudd Cantineau, who retired at the beginning of the year, and will start next week, the fund’s actuary Erick Mayer said. Vis previously worked at Campina, though not at the pension fund.

Meyer, who has acted as head of the pension fund in the two-month transition period, said the defined contribution scheme fund covers about 4,000 workers. Its assets are managed by ABN Amro Asset Management, Robeco Asset Management, AZL Beheer and Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch.

They each manage mandates which vary from 140-260 million euros.

Campina, the maker of the famous pudding Vla, has been named the biggest brand in Dutch supermarkets, on the basis of check-out data from supermarkets in the Netherlands.
