UK – London-based investment manager Chiswell Associates has appointed Simon Hill as its new head of pension funds marketing in a push to develop its institutional pension fund business.
Prior to joining Chiswell, Hill was vice president for institutional business at Franklin Templeton, and a senior consultant at Mercer.
The appointment of Hill marks a strategic move by Chiswell to develop its institutional pension fund business with particular focus on the 10 to 100 million pound mandate bracket. Mandates will be run on a balanced basis, although Chiswell specialises in UK and overseas equities. The fund management company currently focuses on charities and top-level private clients.
Hill replaces John Clamp, who left the role over a year ago. Hill will report to the chief investment officer and deputy managing director, David Kidd.
Chiswell Associates, established 10 years ago, has just under 1.5 billion pounds (2.3 billion euros) assets under management, of which around 100 million pounds is in pensions.
