UK/NETHERLANDS – The recently re-named Citigroup Asset Management has appointed Martin Tully as head of operations for Europe.
Based in London Tully will be responsible for operations, technology and business risk management in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Spain and the UK.
Tully, who joins from HSBC Asset Management where he was chief operating officer, will report jointly to Vernon Barback, global head of operations and technology; Robert Battel, chief institutional operating officer, and Wendy Murdock, chief retail operating officer.
In a separate move, Sikko van Katwijk has been appointed as country manager for the Netherlands and Belgium for Citibank’s World Wide Securities Services (WWSS). Katwijk will be based in Amsterdam.
Succeeding Peter Verduin in the position, Katwijk will be responsible for both sales and account management, and developing the company’s Dutch securities product – predominantly for Dutch pensions funds.
Verduin has taken up a new position with Citibank in New York.
