UK – Scottish Life Administration Services (SLAS) has been appointed to provide third party administration to the new defined contribution (DC) scheme of Cornhill Insurance, part of the Allianz group, one of the UK’s largest insurers.

The new scheme is part of the Cornhill Retirement and Death Benefits fund, though no details about the overall size of the fund or its investment structure are available.

The appointment follows a review of Cornhill’s pension arrangements by Lane Clark & Peacock, the fund’s actuaries and investment consultants.

The service will come via SLAS’s DC Solutions service, which comes in online form and can be tailored to suit individual scheme needs. Its service covers DC plans, additional voluntary contribution schemes and group personal pensions. The administrator is a subsidiary of insurer Royal London.
