UK – Credit Suisse Asset Management is boosting its UK fixed income team with the appointment of Fidelity’s Richard White as a portfolio manager.

White, who joined CSAM yesterday, previously worked at Fidelity for four years as a member of the fixed interest team and the investment strategy team working on credit exposure.

At CSAM he will be primarily responsible for managing life funds with approximately three billion pounds (4.5 billion euros) under management. He is based in the London office, joining five other UK fixed income managers, and reports to Ian Fishwick, managing director and head of UK fixed income at CSAM.

Jane Collins, co-head of CSAM’s UK institutional marketing, says the appointment is due to “new business gained last year, ambitions to obtain new business, cope with more complex mandates and become a considerable UK player”.

CSAM has approximately 492 billion euros in assets under management worldwide.
