UK – Credit Suisse Asset Management has expanded its UK equity team with the appointment of Errol Francis.
Francis will join CSAM on 26 January next year and will be working across both retail and institutional funds. He will be working Leigh Harrison on the retail funds and Phil True on the institutional UK equity portfolios.
A spokeswoman for CSAM said that the UK equity product range had been successful, and as a result it was decided to strengthen the team. Around five billion pounds in UK equities is managed out of CSAM London.
Francis joins from Baring Asset Management. There he was lead portfolio manager of the Baring UK Growth and Baring Equity Income Trusts and was also a member of the UK portfolio construction group where he had responsibility for stock selection for institutional portfolios. A spokeswoman for Baring Asset Management said the company was in the process of recruiting for Francis’ replacement.
Credit Suisse Asset Management has approximately 187.3 billion pounds in assets under management.
