UK- Credit Suisse Asset Management has announced the appointment of Annabel Stephens who is joining the UK institutional marketing team. Stephens, who joins from Barclays, will be responsible for pooled pension fund client servicing and for consultant relations.
She reports to Jane Collins and Jim Owen, co-heads of the UK institutional business. While at Barclays, where she has spent her entire career, Stephens worked as an equity analyst, discretionary private client portfolio manager and senior client advisor.
“She has both an investment and client service background which is quite an unusual combination,” says Jane Collins.
Collins says the appointment demonstrates a commitment to the UK market. The acquisition of the Sun Life Financial of Canada subsidiaries at the end of last year added £11bn in assets under management and gave a fillip to Credit Suisse’s UK business.
Earlier this year it rebranded the three subsidiaries it acquired from Sun Life- the pooled pension fund business, the institutional business and the property and retail fund business now go by the Credit Suisse name.
Credit Suisse AM has the equivalent of e362bn under management of which e50m is UK institutional business
