EUROPE - Credit Suisse has appointed Lehman Brothers' John Kremer as its new head of European institutional distribution for asset management.
It said: "In this new role, Mr. Kremer will be responsible for relationship management and distribution activity for all institutional clients for Asset Management in Europe, the Middle East and Africa."
He joins from Lehman in London, where was president of Lehman Brothers Alternative Investment Management. Before that he worked at UBS O'Connor in Hong Kong, Tokyo and London.
"We are very pleased to have Mr. Kremer join us," said JC Perrig, head of distribution for Asset Management.
"He brings to this role a wealth of experience in managing both businesses and teams, and his leadership will be beneficial as we continue to strengthen our distribution of both traditional and alternative products in Europe, Emerging Europe and the Middle East."
Kremer added: "I am excited to be joining JC and the Asset Management distribution team.
"This will be a great opportunity to work with some of the most capable people in the industry to continue to grow what is already a strong platform across Europe, and to expand our distribution to new institutional clients in Emerging Europe and the Middle East."
Elsewhere, State Street Global Advisors has named Bernard Van de Ven as director of pension sales in Brussels, reporting to Benoît Fally. He joins from MN Services.
