EUROPE - Credit Suisse Asset Management has named Mark Tickle as chief financial officer for the UK, France, eastern Europe and Spain.
It said he joins CSAM from JP Morgan Fleming, where he was European CFO of investment management since 2001. He will report to Larry Haber, CSAM's global CFO.
A JP Morgan Fleming spokeswoman said Tickle was one of two European CFO's, alongside Roger Thompson. It would be "premature" to say who would replace him.
CSAM's Haber said: "We are delighted to have someone of Mark's high calibre and experience working with us.
"With his strong asset management background and well-rounded financial services knowledge, Mark will play an important role in helping us to leverage CSAM's unique global platform."
Last week CSAM named Claudia Blumenthal as its new German head of retail and institutional fund distribution, taking over from Hansjörg Herzog.
In February the firm lost CHF3.2bn (€2bn) in assets under management in the fourth quarter – due to the loss of two large accounts.
