EUROPE - Credit Suisse Asset Management has named a new vice president of Nordic sales.
CSAM said Kristoffer Lind would be responsible for business development in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.
He is also tasked with setting up distribution for CSAM's mutual fund business to institutions and retailers. Lind will report to James Beddall, head of Benelux and Nordic sales.
Beddall said: "At a time when we are seeing our business grow substantially we are delighted that Kristoffer has joined us." Kristoffer joins from Credit Suisse Private Banking, where he was senior relationship manager for Luxembourg.
Elsewhere within the Credit Suisse group, Winterthur has announced a restructuring of its life and non-life sales in Switzerland to save costs. It says around 200 jobs will go, mostly via natural turnover.
“There is an increasing demand for comprehensive advice on pensions and insurance matters from a single source,” said Philippe Egger, head of Winterthur Insurance. The new sales organisation will be headed by Peter Frick, currently head of sales at Winterthur Life in Switzerland.
