GLOBAL - Credit Suisse has named J.C. Perrig as head of channel management and direct sales for asset management.

Perrig, who returns to the bank from Bank of America, would "be responsible for Credit Suisse's relationship management across all customer segments", the Zurich-based group said. He would ensure that clients are "provided with sound and viable options for all of their investment needs".

He will be based in London and report to CSAM chief executive David Blumer, who said: "I am very pleased that J.C. is returning to Credit Suisse.

"His previous multinational experience makes him well suited to our solutions-oriented approach to meeting the current and future needs of our clients in asset management."

Perrig, who will join CSAM's management committee, was formerly head of international capital markets for Europe and Asia at Bank of America.

He previously worked for Credit Suisse's investment banking division for eight years in Zurich, New York and London as head of European corporate liability management, cash and derivatives.

Elsewhere, it has emerged that CSAM UK pensions marketer Jonathan Hayes has left.

He's joined Stamford Associates as head of business development and client services for multi-manager investment programmes.

Hayes joined CSAM from Pictet less than two years ago as head of pooled pensions business development.
