IPE-QUEST - A Danish pension fund is looking to invest in actively-managed Asian equities via IPE-Quest.
Details of QN1027 state the pension fund has $40m (€28m) to invest in an Asia ex/Japan equity all-cap core portfolio, which will be benchmarked to the MSCI Asia ex.Japan with a 3% tracking error.
Interested asset managers must have a minimum of $250m in assets under management for this specific mandate, as well as a minimum track record of three years, though five is preferred.
Officials say they are searching for a "fundamental (non-quantitative) active segregated account, along with a proven process, a good track record, and relatively low turnover" and specify that they would prefer the portfolio to be run by a lead manager who has seniority in the product's strategic decision-making.
