UK - Deutsche Asset Management, the second largest manager of European pension assets, has hired the former UK head of UBS Asset Management.
DeAM said it has hired Robin Hindle Fisher as a managing director and member of its UK management team. He will head all client-facing activities including client relationships, sales, consultant relationships and marketing and report to Paul Berriman, the chief executive of DeAM UK.
He was formerly chief executive of Swiss Bank UBS's Phillips & Drew arm and head of the UK for UBS Asset Management. He had taken a year out at the London Business School.
DeAM has also promoted Simon Peck to head of client relationship management, reporting to Hindle Fisher.
Berriman said: "We are delighted that someone of Robin Hindle Fisher's calibre has decided to join Deutsche Asset Management after his time at the London Business School and as Chief Executive of Phillips & Drew."
DeAM has around 102 billion dollars (88.8 billion euros) in European pension fund assets. In April DeAM's parent Deutsche Bank said that the restructuring of its asset management business was now over. And earlier this month DeAM said it plans to take an activist approach to the running of companies in which it owns significant holdings.
