EUROPE – Mellon Corp.’s European investment administration arm has hired David Copley from Deutsche Asset Management.
Mellon European Fund Services said in a release that Copley has joined as executive director of Investment Manager Solutions.
He was formerly head of investment operations and transfer agency at Deutsche Asset Management in London, Mellon said. He will report to Richard Godfrey, managing director of Mellon European Fund Services.
Godfrey said: "Given his strong operational background, we are delighted that David has joined us to lead this fast-growing part of Mellon’s business.
“He will have responsibility for all operations that involve servicing the asset, and that includes the investment administration team we transferred from F&C last year and our long-standing, market-leading Fund Accounting business."
The unit provides fund accounting and transfer agency services from locations in London, Brentwood, Edinburgh and Dublin. It is part of Mellon Financial Corp.
Meanwhile, ABN Amro Mellon Global Securities Services has named Steve James as senior trustee manager, reporting to John Morris, head of the new Trustee and Depositary Services business.
It said: “This latest hire is a solid step in the development of ABN Amro Mellon's solution to provide fiduciary services to investment funds.”
