FRANCE- AGF Asset Management, part of German insurer Allianz, has appointed Thierry Deheuvels as its head of equity fund management team. He will also undertake responsibility for developing and promoting AGF’s socially responsible investments.
The new role was created to offload some of the responsibility of Frank Becker, head of equity and fixed income fund management at AGF. Deheuvels will report to Becker, and oversee a team of 15 people.
Prior to joining AGF, Deheuvels was vice-president and director of fund management at AXA Investment Managers in Paris. His replacement there will be announced this week.
Deheuvels has held senior positions at Paribas Asset Management and Crédit du Nord, and is also President of the SRI commission at the French asset management association, AFG-ASFFI.
In the field of pensions, Deheuvel is President of the finance commission at UCREPPSA, Union des Caisses de Retraite et de Prévoyance du Personnel des Sociétés d'Assurances, and acts as a technical adviser to the finance commission of AGIRC, the general association of pensions institutions for managerial staff.
