NETHERLANDS – Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) has appointed Owen Thiers as vice president, institutional sales, as part of an expansion of its Dutch institutional sales capabilities.
Thiers will have specific responsibility for business development and client servicing of Dutch pension funds.
He joins from JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management where he was responsible for strategic relationship development with Dutch pension funds.
Commenting on the appointment, Gerard Roelofs, country head, Netherlands, says: “Owen’s appointment reflects our commitment to building up an institutional asset management business in the Netherlands. It is a sophisticated and competitive market for global asset managers. We are confident that Owen will build on the success we have already achieved here and capitalise on opportunities to secure further mandates.”
