NETHERLANDS – Dutch metal and engineering workers’ pension fund, Bedrijfspensioenfonds voor de metaalindustrie (PMI), and pensions administrator firm, Achmea, are to cooperate more closely in the future, with particular importance being placed on internet services.
One of the main innovations is an online pensions administration service for employers.
Achmea will provide the technology, whilst PMI will determine service implementation.
Employees will be able to check their own pensions position, perform calculations and make financial assessments from home, making the pensions administration that Achmea undertakes in the metalworking industry more transparent.
The move comes after both companies signed a contract to “set service levels for processes and particular products.”
Ultimate responsibility lies with London based Foreign & Colonial, which recently took over Achmea’s asset management business.
