Europol, the recently formed European police force has selected Dutch insurer Aegon to manage the pension fund assets for its 150 officers based in The Hague.
The scheme set to be up and running in April will be administered by Europol itself for the first two years, before Aegon also takes over the administration.
Anouk Paulus, legal assistant at the scheme, said: After a strong final beauty parade of four managers carried out in-house, we selected Aegon because they came in with the best price whilst meeting all the other service criteria, experience levels and foreign language capabilities essential for a 'European' police force fund.""
