US – The former head of Deutsche Bank’s European pensions strategy group, Desmond MacIntyre, has left his new post in the New York City Comptroller’s office in an “amicable” departure.
Jeff Simmons, a spokesman at the office of the Comptroller, confirmed that MacIntyre left two weeks ago.
He would not elaborate on the reasons for MacIntyre’s departure, except to say: “It was an amicable departure.”
MacIntyre was chief investment officer of the New York City Retirement Systems, overseeing the city’s 75.1 billion dollars of assets.
“No replacement has been hired at this time,” Simmons added.
MacIntyre left Deutsche earlier this year to join the Comptroller’s office. The Comptroller is an elected official and acts as the chief financial officer for the city.
