NETHERLANDS – Iwan Lont, former Stichting Hoogovens Pensionenfonds fixed income senior portfolio manager, has joined Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie (LODH) as a senior portfolio manager.
The new appointment is linked to LODH Amsterdam’s expansion of its fixed income tactical asset allocation and inflation linked business.
Lont is responsible for tactical asset allocation within the fixed income asset classes. He is also engaged in global inflation linked relative value strategies.
He told IPE: “The focus on fixed income and professionalism within LODH Amsterdam were very appealing to me. Furthermore, interaction with the Geneva office makes this a very dynamic position.”
Lont, 31, will report to Eduard van Gelderen - the Amsterdam-based co-head of fixed income.
IPE understands that Hoogovens has partly replaced Lont with Stefan Ormel, but the fund is currently looking for a more permanent replacement.
At the time of going to press, Hoogovens could not confirm who had been appointed either on a temporary or permanent basis.
The Hoogovens scheme has a capital value of roughly €4.7bn, according to PensionFundsOnline.co.uk.
