UK – Sean Taylor, the former head of global equities at SG Asset Management, has joined UBS unit GAM as investment director.
Taylor’s appointment follows that of Ross Hollymann and Avinash Persaud were manage the GAM Star UK Dynamic and AM Persuad Global Currency fund respectively.
Taylor would “manage international long only as well as global long/short mandates”.
GAM’s chief executive Burkhard Poschadel said the appointment represented the company’s “continuing commitment to broadening our business”.
GAM has around 76 billion dollars of assets under management.
Meanwhile, Stefal Hartl, sales director at UBS Global Asset Management, has been named sales director at Frankfurt-based Schroder Investment Management GmbH.
The move follows the announcement of the departure by mutual consent of former investment chief Mark Pignatelli
