UK – F&C Management has appointed Gartmore’s Paul Grainger as director of UK sovereign bonds.

Grainger joins F&C from Gartmore where he is a senior fixed income manager responsible for its active institutional and retail sterling fund totalling 2.25 billion pounds.

At F&C, he will report to Helen Roberts, director and head of sovereign bonds.

Commenting on the new addition, Tony Broccardo, chief investment officer at F&C said: “Sovereign bonds have been a successful and growing part of fixed income at F&C.”

“Fixed income portfolio management is a key area of expertise for the business, and accounts for around 50% of the group’s total assets under management,” added Broccardo.

F&C currently manages 92 billion euros in assets for institutions and individuals in the UK and Europe.
