NETHERLANDS - Investment manager Fidelity International's Dutch branch expands its sales and marketing team with three new appointments in a move to strengthen its "local presence" in the Netherlands, the manager has announced.
ABN AMRO's Hein Kuijpers has been hired as the company's new sales director; also from ABN AMRO comes new assistant manager marketing Barbara Kos, who worked at the bank's asset management arm.
Lastly, Fidelity confirmed the appointment of Michel Vermeulen, who will work as the firm's new associate relationship director. Vermeulen worked as director of sales Benelux at investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort.
Both Kuijpers and Kos will reinforce the retail business, while Vermeulen will be part of Fidelity's institutional department.
All three positions are new, a spokesman for the firm said.
Mike Nikou, the firm's managing director northern Europe, said the team expansion was necessary to keep up with the Dutch market, "one of the fasted growing markets in Europe for us, with a fast capital growth".
