UK- Fidelity Investments has appointed Martin Hall as executive director of fixed income, a job in which he will be responsible for the group’s UK and European fixed income. Hall is to work closely with head of fixed income investment Andy Jenkins in developing Fidelity’s business.
Previous jobs held by Hall include ten years managing and marketing global bond portfolios at Deutsche asset management and a period as head of fixed income at Norwich Union investment management.
Says David Stewart, president of European institutional business: “we are at a significant stage in the development of our fixed income business. It is now appropriate to make this key addition to our senior management team.
“The continuing increase in pension funds’ allocation towards bonds and more sophisticated fixed income strategies in general have created additional demand.”
