UK – Friends, Ivory & Sime has appointed Mark Thompson as a fund manager to its global equities team in London. Thompson will have specific responsibility for researching global environmental technology companies.

More specifically he will work with the governance and socially responsible team in researching companies that harness and use environmentally sustainable energy sources.

Before joining Friends, Ivory & Sime, Thompson was assistant director of the corporate finance team of Impax Capital, advising clients in the environmental technologies field.

Friends Ivory & Sime has £35bn (€57bn) in assets under management for institutional and private clients.
