FRANCE – Fortis Investment Management has appointed Emeric Challier as chief investment officer of its Euro fixed income investment centre in France.
Prior to joining Fortis Investment Management, Challier was head of the global bond team at Societe Generale Asset Management.
Challier joins a team of 28 in Paris, managing approximately 25 billion euros in European fixed income and money market assets. Challier’s position is a new role as a result of restructuring across Europe.
Also this week, Fortis Investment Management commenced operations out of its London fixed income investment centre. The new office, headed by Guy Williams, will be responsible for pan-European and single currency bond mandates ex-dollar and ex-euro. The Paris office focuses on eurobonds.
Fortis Investment Management has 76.7 billion euros in assets under management.
