Robeco, AZL, Financial Reporting Council, Candriam Investors Group, Kames Capital
Robeco – The €200bn asset manager has appointed Maureen Schlejen as head of institutional sales and account management for the Benelux and Nordic region. In this position, she will be responsible for the management and extension of the company’s institutional client base in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Nordic countries. Schlejen succeeds Eric van der Maarel, who left Robeco at the end of last year. She has been working at Robeco since 1995.
AZL – The Dutch pensions provider is to appoint Maarten van der Tuin as chief executive, as of 1 February. He is to succeed Arther van der Wal, who has become director of pensions at insurer Nationale Nederlanden. Van der Tuin is currently director of pensions and a board member at MN, the €90bn asset manager and pensions provider for the large Dutch metal schemes PMT and PME.
Financial Reporting Council – Geoffrey Green has been appointed chair of the Financial Reporting Review Panel. He will take up the position on 1 April, when the current chair, Richard Fleck, steps down. Green was senior partner at Ashurst, an international law firm, from 1998 to 2008, following which he became managing partner in Asia, based in Hong Kong, until his retirement in 2013.
Candriam Investors Group – Guillaume Abel has been appointed global head of marketing, joining from Amundi Group, where he has worked since 1997, most recently serving as global head of marketing and communication for institutional and third-party distribution. Separately, Renato Guerriero, global head of European client relations, has been nominated as a member of the executive committee.
Kames Capital – Stephen Adams has been appointed head of equities. Adams, who was previously head of UK equities, will take on the role with immediate effect.
