GLOBAL - PIMCO, KPMG, Aviva Investors, Gartmore, Man, First State Investments International, Dasos, Capital at Work

PIMCO - Patrick Dunnewolt has joined PIMCO as senior vice-president and head of business development for the Benelux region. Prior to joining PIMCO, Dunnewolt was manager of business development at Mn Services in the Netherlands, where he focused on fiduciary management and pension administration business. Before then, he was executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He has also held positions at State Street Global Advisors and Robeco Asset Management. 

KPMG - James Dimech DeBono has joined as an associate partner in KPMG's financial risk management practice. He will be responsible for setting up a team to focus on supporting investment managers, funds and other financial institutions in the preparation of portfolio valuations. Dimech DeBono joins from Duff & Phelps, where he was managing director for four and a half years, leading the international financial engineering practice.

Aviva Investors - Jean-Francois Boulier has been appointed chief executive at Aviva Investors Europe based in Paris. Boulier, who served most recently as head of Aviva Investors France, will be responsible for building the business's sales and marketing infrastructure across continental Europe.

Gartmore - Adam McConkey has joined Gartmore as head of UK smaller companies, reporting to chief investment officer Dominic Rossi. McConkey, who joined Gartmore in 2000, is a senior investment manager in the UK smaller companies team. His appointment follows Gervais Williams' decision to leave the company to pursue other interests.

Man - Emmanuel Roman will assume the newly created role of chief operating officer at Man after the company's shareholders approved the acquisition of GLG Partners. Pierre Lagrange will continue as senior managing director at GLG, overseeing investment management. Noam Gottesman will remain co-chief executive of GLG with Roman and run GLG's global opportunity strategy. All three will report to Man chief executive Peter Clarke.

First State Investments International - The asset manager has made three appointments to its infrastructure investments team, which manages the European Diversified Infrastructure fund. Inderdip Syan joins from Rutley Capital Partners and Gregor Kurth joins from DI Deutsche Infrastruktur, while Raphael Viallet joins from 3i Infrastructure.

Dasos - Johanna Lindroos has joined Dasos - a Finland-based timberland investment advisor to institutional investors - as a partner. Prior to joining Dasos, Lindroos was partner at CapMan, where she was responsible for transaction execution, as well as portfolio company development and management. She has 14 years' experience in private equity, business development, capital markets and M&A.

Capital at Work - Jurgen Temmerman has joined Capital at Work as a client relationship manager. He joins from ING Investment Management Belgium, where he was senior institutional relationship manager.
