Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking - Christoph Roos has joined the company as head of insurance and pension funds clients for Switzerland, Cross Asset Solutions. Roos will be in charge of the relationship and strategic advisory for Swiss insurance and pension funds clients. Prior to joining the company, he worked at BNP Paribas, where led the fixed income derivatives sales team in Switzerland for the last 10 years. Before then, he held a number of positions at Union Bank of Switzerland, including economist, warrants trader and derivatives marketing, pricing and structuring specialist.
Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) - Michael Baldinger has been appointed chief executive at the Switzerland-based sustainability investment specialist. He was previously head of global clients and marketing and a member of SAM's executive committee. Prior to joining SAM, Baldinger was head of distribution for the Americas at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York, and before then, managing director at Bear, Stearns. He will assume his new position on 1 January.
Butterfield Fulcrum - Edwin Parker has joined the fund administration company for the alternative investment industry as director of business development for the EMEA region. He will start in February and be based in London. Parker will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships to strengthen and expand the company's client base throughout Europe and its surrounding emerging markets. He joins from SS&C, where he served as a business development manager.
Aviva Investors - Raphaelle Moysan has been appointed as client portfolio manager for fixed income, responsible for liaising with potential clients and investment consultants with a focus on fixed income absolute return and government debt. She joins from National Australia Bank, where she was fixed income structured sales director, responsible for developing the European fixed income derivatives business. She has also worked in business development roles with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch.
Jupiter - Jonathan Carey, former joint group chief executive alongside Edward Bonham Carter, is set to retire on 15 December. He has worked at Jupiter for more than 20 years. He became group executive deputy chairman on completion of the management buyout in June 2007 before stepping back from his full time role in May 2008. Since then, he has worked on a part-time basis, helping with the development of Jupiter's offshore business.
