GLOBAL - JP Morgan Asset Management, PGGM, UK Green Investment Bank, Legal & General Investment Management, OVS Capital, Alpha Strategic

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) - Rupert Brindley has recently joined JPMAM in London as a managing director in the Global Multi-Asset Group (GMAG), heading up investment solutions in the EMEA region. Brindley arrives from Mercer, where he was chief strategist for the dynamic de-risking solutions business for institutions. Before then, he set up UBS Investment Bank's life and pensions solutions team. In his new role, Brindley reports to Neill Nuttall, chief investment officer and head of GMAG, and will work with the institutional teams to develop multi-asset, multi-strategy investment solutions for clients.

PGGM - Alex van der Velden, PGGM's head of responsible equity strategies, has left the €125bn asset manager together with three colleagues to start his own independent responsible equity fund. Van der Velden was founder and head of PGGM's responsible equity team since 2008. He was also responsible for the €200m Global Microfinance Investment Programme. The other members of the responsible equity team joining him include Antoinette van Lier, François Schockaert and Otto van Buul.

UK Green Investment Bank - Shaun Kingsbury has been appointed chief executive. He joins from private equity firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners, where he was responsible for its European activities. He will work alongside the chair Lord Smith of Kelvin and deputy chair Sir Adrian Montague, who were appointed by Vince Cable in May. Six new non-executive directors have also been appointed: Julia King, Fred Maroudas, Tom Murley, David Nish, Isobel Sharp and Tessa Tennant.

Legal & General Investment Management - Colin Reedie has been appointed head of European credit portfolio management, effective 1 October. He joined LGIM in 2005 from Henderson Global Investors, where he was head of investment-grade credit fund management. Robert Barnard-Smith, head of UK credit portfolio management, will now have sole responsibility for the UK investment-grade credit team.

OVS Capital - The European event-driven investment manager has made two appointments to its business team. Robert Moore joins to manage treasury and finance, having previously spent 14 years at GLG Partners as a manager on the equity finance team. Yvonne Daffy joins as a fund accountant. Between 2010 and 2012, she worked at Morgan Stanley Fund Services as a client account manager.

Alpha Strategic - The investment company, which acquires minority interests in fund management businesses, has appointed Alistair McKay as chief executive. His appointment follows Nicola Meaden Grenham's resignation in early July, who remains on the Alpha board as a non-executive director. McKay joins from Asset Management Finance, where he was a senior adviser. Before then, he held senior investment banking positions at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
