UK/NORDIC – Gartmore Investment Management has appointed Cameron Crise as senior investment manager in its currency team.
Crise was formerly with Lee Overlay in Dublin for three years. He also worked as a currency trader and strategist for UBS.
At Gartmore, Crise will report to Bob Jolly, who has headed up the team for the last 14 years.
At the same time, James Binny is leaving the currency team to join ABN AMRO on the currency broking side. His role is being assumed by Paul Skinner, product specialist in fixed income and currencies.
There have also been changes at the firm’s Nordic arm, Gartmore Norden. Kristina Ilar who heads up the office will be leaving. Patrik Silfverling has been promoted to fill the position, and his new title will be head of sales, Nordic region.
Robert Elfstrom has also been promoted to sales manager for the Nordic region.
Gartmore has offices in the UK, Germany, Italy, Jersey, Spain, Sweden and the US, and has 48.8 billion pounds in assets under management.
