UK/SCANDINAVIA – Goldman Sachs Asset Management has appointed Mats Langensjö as executive director in charge of its Scandinavian institutional business development.
Langensjö will be based in London and report to Ruud Hendriks, managing director, head of institutional sales and marketing, continental Europe ex Austria and Germany.
Langensjö joins from Wassum Investment Consulting where he was managing director and project manager for corporate and industry pension funds. In 1999 he headed a project for French group, Crédit Agricole Asset Management to set up their Scandinavian business and has helped William M. Mercer, the consultancy firm, develop theirs.
Says Hendriks: “Langensjö has wide experience of developing and building businesses in Scandinavia. His in-depth knowledge of this important region will help accelerate our growth in this region.”
