UK – London-based multi-manager group, Northern Trust Global Investments has won a €6m mandate from the Birmingham-based specialist engineering group, Hay Hall, it was announced today. The mandate comprises Hay Hall’s overseas equities pension funds.

Says Tony Barnshaw, managing director multi-manager products at Northern Trust: “This particular win is indicative of the swing in the marketplace, where it is becoming increasingly common for UK and European pension funds to switch away from a single manager fund into a multi-manager fund.”
