UK – Pensions outsourcing firm Higham Group has hired Kenneth Donaldson from Hazell Carr Pensions Consulting to be director of business development, pensions.
Higham said Donaldson joins from its rival, where he was a senior actuary and executive director.
“During his time there he enjoyed significant sales successes in both the UK life and pensions outsourcing arena and within the corporate consulting environment.” He was formerly a principal at Aon Consulting, it added.
The appointment follows two other senior hires recently. In August Higham hired former Law Debenture pension fund trustee business head Richard Thomas; in June it named former London Stock Exchange chief executive Peter Rawlins as chairman.
"The firm has grown from six people to approaching 400 in less than six years and is rapidly expanding its presence in the pensions sector,” said Higham chief executive Alan Higham.
“I regard Kenneth's appointment as a major step forward in building our senior management team. Kenneth is well known in the pensions industry and I am delighted to welcome him to the team."
Earlier this month Hazell Carr, which appointed Darryl Boulton as chief executive in August, named British Energy’s Paul Borsberry to its business development team.
