UK – Hermes Focus Asset Management (HFAM), has appointed Corinna Arnold as business development manager international. Arnold, who will be based in London, will concentrate on co-ordinating international institutional support for HFAM in relation to its various shareholder engagement programmes, whereby HFAM invests in underperforming stocks.
HFAM’s shareholder engagement programmes allow it to work with the boards of such companies to help them raise their long-term prospects.
Arnold joins HFAM from the Investor Responsibility Research Programme in Washington, where she spent 11 years, most recently as deputy executive director and COO.
HFAM and HFAM Europe are subsidiaries of BT-owned independent pension fund manager, Hermes Pensions Management, which has £44bn (€71bn) under management, of which £634m relates to HFAM and £300m to HFAM Europe.
